Cloud Operations Engineer (TB-8623)
Our Partner is looking for talented, passionate, and resourceful system/devops engineers to join our ranks. Candidates will work as part of an established but growing team that is focused on support, availability, and uptime of our partner on-premise and cloud infrastructure. The lucky individuals will be involved with providing operational support, cloud service development and deployment, advanced troubleshooting, and management of the overall health and stability. How you will fulfill your potential
• Work actively with technology teams to analyze and resolve infrastructure issues
• Identify defects, discrepancies, and trends by ways of troubleshooting
• Manage incidents and effectively communicate with command center, application owners and senior stakeholders across all areas
• Improve Infrastructure stability and performance by observing patterns, recurring failures and/or issues, and advise application owners on permanent fixes accordingly
• Identify alerts / processes that can be automated and then work with Engineering team in automating them
• Challenge existing Infrastructure setup, processing and suggest different ways to solve problem or improve stability
• Actively participate in Change management process with view to manage risk in production environment
• Build and improve run books for generalists to minimize operational errors and gain fungibility/efficiency
• Develop reports that provide trending statistics to track and manage Infrastructure health and support service performance
Skills and experience we are looking for
• In-depth understanding of cloud operation on one of the Public Cloud players (AWS/Azure)
• Solid understanding of VMWare vSphere 5.5/6.5 and relative products
• Expert operating experience & L3 troubleshooting capability on Windows (2008, 2012) and/or Linux (CentOS, RedHat)
• Good understanding on ITIL services management framework & methodology (Incident, Change, CMDB/CMS, SLA, Availability, Capacity)
• Sound knowledge and extensive hands-on experience working with System Center Configuration Management and related tools
• Good knowledge on essential enterprise systems monitoring tool e.g. SCOM, OMS, NetFlow and some GNU licensed products (Zabbix, Nagios)
• Proven ability to write structured technical & process document
• Experience on Python, Perl, PowerShell scripting is great advantage
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the Healthcare Service or related industries
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 8+ year work experience in IT Infrastructure area
• Good written and spoken English. Additional European language is a great advantage
