This is an internal technical consulting role to lead migration from Linux/Python/Django/PHP to Windows/.Net technology platform, and then works with business process owners to understand and support current business processes while identifying and leading opportunities for improvements that enable added business value in a cost-effective manner. This role supports critical smart manufacturing initiatives that will drive continuous improvement and business value.

How your typical day would go:
• Analyzes, enhances and supports business processes
• Develops an in-depth understanding of the business processes in their area(s) of assignment, and a general understanding of the GRP business
• Takes initiative to identify and implement system and/or process improvements to support business objectives.
• Leads projects and effectively utilizes project methodology and tools to deliver solutions and communicate status
• Operates within and influences IS standards and conventions and promotes adherence within the IS organization
• Pursues continuous learning consistent with changes in technology, and uses this to influence IS direction
• Programming and supports of in-house developed application

What you need to have:

• Information Systems / Information Technology experience 5 to 10 years
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or four-year degree with IS related experience
• Systems analysis and design skills
• Proficiency with Linux and Python
• SQL skills
• Advanced written and verbal English knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:
• Technical proficiency in any of the following areas is desired: Read Hat or Ubuntu Linux sys admin, Python or Django or PHP programming, SQL
• Functional knowledge of shop floor, inventory, and quality
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with cross functional teams, presenting solutions both verbally and through written communications
• Technical understanding of application development life cycle phases
